30 Days Til

It's almost 29 days til, but whatever. I'm currently still waiting for my visa/passport to get back to Nate at Ole Miss. No telling how long it will take for it to get back to me from Nate from the Consulate in Houston. Thinking about going to Oxford for the Memorial Day get together with the old, current, and new Flagship students (which includes me). Slowly putting together a mental list of the things to bring to China.

Had a dream that my passport never got back to me from Nate; I was already at the airport and trying to get my ticket. What a nightmare...

40 Days Til

In forty days, I will be on my way to China. I figure that not being able to use facebook very often while in China may be a small problem. Hopefully this blog will help. If you don't already know I will be in Beijing at Minzu University (Formerly known as the Central University for Nationalities). We will have trips to the Great Wall, the Forbidden Palace, and various other sites in and around Beijing. I don't even know how much free time we'll have; hopefully we won't be treated like children.

For now, all I know is that I do not have my passport with me, as Nate(the guy in charge of putting most of this stuff together) needs it to send off for the visas and it may yet be a few weeks before we have the visas. Thanks persons who thought pictures printed on regular paper and cut out would be sufficient for a visa application.

I will enjoy my time at home (for a few days anyway) and update this every so often while I learn new details about the trip.
